Al`s Humdinger in Hoquiam

Really great staff here! We ordered a shrimp basket and a scallop basket. Both were delivered to our car by the cashier and both meals tasted excellent! Would definitely come here again if we are in town again.

One of the best places in all of Grays Harbor County to get that home cooked taste. The service is fast, compared to most other places.

We stopped on our way Ocean Shores. So glad we did! Delicious burgers! Get the strawberry shake!

Best burgers and fries in Gray’s Harbor- no doubt about it! They’re amazing and so fairly priced.We stop in here once a week because we love it so much. We typically order bacon cheeseburgers, a large fry with extra fry sauce, and milkshakes.I’m partial to blackberry banana, my partner likes the peanut butter chocolate shake.Honestly- you can’t go wrong here! Tonight I rushed to your establishment and arrived 20 minutes before closing. I jumped out of my car, ran in intending to politely ask if they would be willing to serve me so close to closing time, accidently forgetting my mask. Saw the sign saying "no mask, no service." I realized my mistake; without being asked I instantly turned around to walk 10 feet back to my car to grab my mask intending to return and ask my question... But before I can; from behind me I hear the red head working the register scream in an extremely rude tone "SORRY! NOT SORRY! GOODBYE! THANK YOU!", followed by dirty looks from the entire crew. As if I had purposely attempted to assault them with the bubonic plague! Took my business down the street.

What a great restaurant! I haven't had such fast and friendly service. I had a bacon burger with soda and my wife had cheese burger with a strawberry shake with real strawberries. A real gem, we will definitely be back for more.

Double bacon cheeseburger with double bacon and double cheese is hands down amazing. They have amazing milkshakes, fries, gizzards, and other things. I love the fact that I've been coming here for over 25 years and the food is still one of the best in the Harbor.

Super cute little spot with great milkshakes. I'd rather go here and pay a bit more than other chain joints any day. Good menu selection, quirky staff that gets the job done, and a good location for road trip stops to the coast. They have some outdoor tables, but it's more a drive-in and eat in the car place if you don't mind that. Pretty fast service considering everything made from scratch.

Always quality. Always fresh. Amazing prices. Local gem. Suggest going here over any fast food place in town. Been many times!

I feel this might be a personal question but WOW! From the menu to the prices, the cashier to the food, you couldn't ask for a better Dive, Drive-In! YUM! This was our first time but it certainly won't be our last! Bacon burger, Haliburger, Double Dog with NON-greasy fries, Delish!

Love this little place reminds me of old school Minor burgers in Yakima. They have a ton of options and real ice cream soft and hard and real Ice Cream shakes. Stuff is bomb.

So I'm from the south. And I know good food. This was the best burger I have tasted since being up here. And the price was well worth it. Maybe add a little flavor to fry sauce. But other than that was fantastic!

Changed out of my wetsuit in the parking lot. Rocks were kind of sharp and hurt my feet, but no one came out to Chase me off, so 5 stars.

GREAT BURGER had everything required for the deluxe with cheese. Also time waiting for it was accepted do to corvid19 .

All fried. Had a good variety for exploring fried seafood options. Staff was very friendly and gave us a malt they made on accident. Friendly home-town feel.

Ehhhhh, typical high school fry house.This place was not worth the review hype as far as we all were concerned.Fryer dose good but they fry everything in the same oil and you can taste it.We got a clam strip basket (good but run of the mill frozen). Chicken strip basket was good and run of the mill, coleslaw is good. Hot dog, its old school hot dog sandwich style and run of the mill. Onion rings are blah...no flavor, not very crunchy and bland for some reason. Last but not least...the bacon deluxe burger, bland and overdone bacon.The window service girls are friendly and good service but the older lady with the short dark hair was just impatient and very rude! Banging on the window and being short with people waiting to het there food.You have to try new places but this one.....NOT recommended.

Hum dinger makes a good hamburger. They also serve items that you don't find as often such as clams. Manage your expectations. There is no dining room and no car hop. If you want to pay with a card there is a $0.60 charge.

They dont listen when you order. This is the seco d tome my order has been messed up. The time before that i didnt get all ofmy change back.

I'm a chef myself and I gotta say, they have perfected fast food burgers here. My girlfriend and I drove by and had to stop based off the look of the place. Al's did not disappoint. Got the humdinger myself and my partner got the deluxe. Mine was big and perfectly messy, hers was the picture perfect burger. Classic onion rings to top it off and it was a perfect meal to fuel a long drive home.

Whenever we go out to our cabin, its a tradition to stop by Al's Hum-Dinger. Every time I have been the food has been tasty. Keep in mind that there is no inside seating. There are tables outside but if its crowded, you will be eating in your car. I would totally recomend getting a milkshake, it is the perfect drink for the road.

This burger was possibly the best I have ever had!! It is a little messy, but it is well worth it. The perfect pick me up during quarantine!

The people, the food, the family feeling. I love it! I spent the last six months remodeling a home in Hoquiam. There were a few weeks that I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the Humdinger. My family and I thank everyone at the Humdinger for making us feel at home away from home! We'll never forget you.

Great, historic, local. A few words to describe this place. I have been eating Humdinger since I was a small child. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Would recommend and will eat here again.

I was very impressed. We had a cheeseburgers, onion rings, and a shake. They were all delicious. It is a great stop before/after the crowds on the coast. We will be sure to stop again.

Classic drive-in style burger joint. It's small and can easily be missed. You walk in one of the side doors and order at one of two small counters. Large signs display the limited menu. The secret is that this restaurant is so good that it doesn't need anything more on its menu!There is no inside seating (feel free to wait in your car for your order) but there are a few picnic tables outside for those who'd like to eat while looking upon the sunken (and sinking) boats on the river! But, we're all here for the food! My husband agreed with me that these are some of the best burgers we've ever had. The fries are always hot & crispy. The onion rings are so delicious that I could just sit and eat them all day. The milkshakes are thick and creamy. I've only had the chocolate shake because when you find perfection, why change it up?This is one of those "hole-in-the-wall" places that you almost don't want to tell people about because you want to keep it all to yourself!

I frequent them as often as I can. It's tuff to stand by yourself against the big giants of industry. I have eaten here before and it was pretty good but this time it could have been better. The hamburger was not hand pressed like it was last time and I had Asked for no pickles and I got relish. If I'm not mistaken relish would be cut up pickles. That also made my bun really soggy. The fries were hot salted perfectly and tasted great and the overall price was good also. I will continue to be a customer, but they really should ask You especially if you say no pickles.
